A county jail or state facility armory has to reconcile officer restrictions, three or four shift changes a day, and a chain of custody that internal affairs and outside auditors will eventually pull apart line by line. Paper logs and honor-system sign-outs weren’t built for that.

Scan and transfer custody

Barcode, RFID, or a passive doorway reader logs each item leaving the armory, tied to that officer’s post for the shift.

Return, reconcile, audit

At shift end, everything issued displays for reconciliation. A mobile scanner inventories the armory in minutes, not a clipboard-and-count hour.
